About

I am a mature Australian woman, married with two daughters and a grandson. I live on the NSW Central Coast.

I have worked in the community services sector from a support worker for people with disabilities and aged care, to National Business Development Officer for a large NGO.

How I became an author is detailed in my blog and demonstrates the passion that drives me when I set out to do something new. Like when I decided three years ago that I wanted to learn to read music. I played the keyboard just about everyday since, even if it was just one song. Playing each new piece over and over until it was firmly planted in my muscel memory. Sometimes, I play the piano at a local public art space, just for fun.

Ten years ago, my husband and I sold everything we owned and set off on an indefinate caravan trip around Australia. We stopped and worked along the way for six of the best years of our lives. I kept a travel blog that you can read here, if you are interested.

As well as working away on the first draft of my novel, I have joined some writing groups. Here is my short story I wrote for a group challenge. It won third place. The prompt – Conversation with a serial killer, up to 1000 words.

Here is another short story I wrote. It won second place. The prompt – Two people walking through the bush. Under 500 words.
